History

Naro Enterprises Inc. is a family owned and operated trucking business located outside the Poconos in Pennsylvania. The business was formed in 1950 by Michael C. Naro, and William Mychayliw, two friends who decided to start their own business on whim, beginning with one truck in Dunmore, PA. In 1959, they bought a piece of property in Gouldsboro, PA and opened a fuel stop, the only one in the area. Under their hard work and leadership, both business grew. With the unfortunate passing of William Mychayliw in 1964, Michael Naro was forced to continue on alone. Naro created substantial relationships throughout the industry, from Buffalo, NY to NYC and NJ areas, while also continuing the fuel stop in Gouldsboro, PA. Upon the completion of Interstate 380, Naro decided to concentrate on the trucking business.

After being incorporated in 1973, 2nd generation sons Ross and Angelo Naro took the company over. By 1983, Naro Trucking began to penetrate the intermodal business, servicing the ports of New York and New Jersey, and in turn, continued building strong relations within the industry. Sons of Ross, Anthony, and Michael Naro brought Naro Enterprises Inc. into the 21st century with a bang by helping establish Naro Trucking as a very reliable and daily fixture in the intermodal business of the New York and New Jersey area. Now operating as a 3rd generation company, Naro Trucking is a 95% intermodal company, specializing in import and export moves in north Pennsylvania and upstate New York areas.

Naro Trucking prides itself on its family oriented style of business. With over 65 years of experience in the trucking industry, the company has successfully provided all types of trucking services, focusing primarily in the intermodal business. Naro Trucking is now a 50/50 company driver and owner operator run company. The company currently uses 170 company chassis, and has already begun upgrading its total fleet to meet the new clean air acts coming to ports of NY/NJ in January of 2017. Today, Naro Trucking strives to continue making, receiving, and shipping goods a one call, worry free commitment to its customers.
